My Story

Ish'mael's journey began with a suitcase brimming with both fears and dreams as he left his homeland to answer a calling in the U.S. When civil war erupted in Cameroon, he boldly spoke out against government corruption—a courageous act that led to violent persecution and forced him to seek asylum. Confronted with immense adversity in a foreign land, far from his family, Ish'mael transformed crisis into opportunity, rebuilding his life from nothing. Through it all, he discovered how to sustain hope even in the most hopeless situations, driven by a relentless pursuit of his life's purpose. Today, Ish'mael serves as a Fund Product Manager for a large investment company, living in alignment with his God-given purpose. He is also a business owner. His storytelling is both vulnerable and interactive, infused with passion and humor, making him a relatable and compelling speaker for any audience. A Certified John Maxwell Team Member, Ish'mael's journey is a testament to the power of resilience, courage, and unwavering faith.

Five stars! With an unapologetically realistic delivery packed with emotion, The God Experiment gives real-life examples that many can relate to. If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to walk with God, then this is an unflinchingly honest place to start. This book will cause you to examine your personal experience with God. This is a book about an experience with God. It is not sugar-coated and it is relatable. I highly recommend it.
